Archive for 2010

This is the last set of nails i’ve done for 2010.

2010 has been a year of pivotal change for me. Going through boughs and troughs, experiencing relationships that have strengthened me as friend and a lover. My blog and business went through an overhaul, from a DIY blog with lame blogskins, to a site with a whole lot more appeal. Makes me happier sharing photos too!

In the year 2011, there will be change again. This time change, of a certain magnitude. I can’t announce at this moment what this change is, but is certainly for the better. What I can reveal is, this space will transit into something a lot more personal. I won’t be sharing just nail works, but just about anything and everything that inspires me as an artist. I’ve always been hesitant to share anything personal on this space as it’s always in my mind been limited to as a nail blog. But over time i’ve realized that there’s so much in store things I should share, a desire to inspire.

2010 has taught me a very important lesson. NEVER EVER allow anyone to tell you what you should or shouldn’t do. What’s right or wrong. Never let them thwart your hopes, dreams or fantasies into theirs. Always believe in yourself, listen closely and trust what your instinct tells you.

Something tells me 2011 is going to be magical. :)

Happy New Year my dear readers. Have a smashing NYE and may 2011 bring forth happiness into each and everyone of your lives.

See you next year ;)

Love,

Clara H

Another bridal picture sent to me. :D A picture truly speaks a thousand words. It is so touching how much my clients appreciate my work and have immortalized it in beautiful picture as such.

Thank you Constance, for being the most beautiful bride with the most beautiful heart. I wish you only the best and absolute happiness in your marriage :)

Much love,

Clara H

I was tagged to this beautifully taken photo of my client’s bridal nails. Done by me of course! How dreamy.. hehe

Recently did Peggy’s nails. Sweet and lovely Peggy from the famed sixpegs.com!  She very wisely chose the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2010 design on her sculptured acrylics, after i’d painstakingly removed her previous set of gel nails.

Check out what she has to say about her experience at Clara H Nails and see the design on her nails up close and personal – she did a few interesting poses!

Love & Ta,

Clara H

Designs are available in the salon upon request :)

I recently had a client tell me I’m like the Vera Wang of Bridal Nails :) I’m absolutely flattered. Well she and I have only one thing in common.

To make my brides the happiest girls in the world on their special day. Of course that, and the fact and our first and last names rhyme, and we both used to be figure skaters. haha

“It’s for all the women who embrace my aesthetic, but can’t afford a Vera Wang dress. If women can get anything out of it – a little bit of me or a lot of me, that’s what’s important.” -Vera Wang

Just like you put on a VW Bridal gown and feel like a princess, Bridal Nails from Clara H will always seal the package.

Our Signature Lace Tips with a twist. Perfect for any occasion.

Recently, I had a client come in asking for extensions. She wanted to get French Extensions done, but due to her short nail beds, Clara H. Nails had to improvise. :)

Before Extensions

Needless to say, the neccessary unattractive 'Before' photo to make you ooohh ahhh and gasp at the 'After'.

The extension of the nail base using a soft flesh tone acrylic powder, and added a funky sparkly brown for the french tips.

After Extensions

The 'After'

We like. :)
