Clara H 2010 Travel Adventures in a nutshell.
This is the post I have been working on, searching through my travel photo archives, picking out the best pictures that best represents my 2010 travel adventures. I spent a good time reminiscing while looking at them and found some really cool pics too. π Photo heavy post but un-related to nails. Hehe. I DO have a life outside of nails guys :p
First, at the beginning of the year my hair went from this…
To this…
Big regret -.-“
But anyhow, even though with much lesser hair, I went on to have much more fun in Phuket and Krabi where I drove a manual old school 4WD (with no proper handbrakes, I was quite nervous on slopes actually) for the first time in my life. Did zany things, roasted under the sun, island hopped, snorkeled, rode on horses etc. Quite a ride actually!
Krabi
And then came my Australia trip. π I was there for a month and was pretty amazing. What made this trip so different from the rest of the trips is that i went alone. At this point in the year, I lost a ‘friend’ and a was in a complicated and flailing relationship so i decided i needed a break from it all.Β I did however, meet up with some friends who happened to be there the same time i was, what a coincidence! I did make sure to be covered with theΒ best international insurance, I knew I was going to travel alone so I had to be prepared!
I booked my tickets 3 days prior to the trip so it was pretty last minute for a month long trip. This trip was life-changing for me, it altered my mindset and made me realize i had so much going for me and how blessed i am. One thing I did that i’m particularly proud of was going on the Great Ocean Road trip on my own, the scenery was mind-blowing and being there alone is a feeling that can’t rival any other. I highly recommend traveling alone and especially doing the tour while you’re still single. Then again I’m a pretty spontaneous person by nature (I’ve booked last minute tickets to Japan while I was Bangkok and took the flight the next day after I landed back in Singapore. It was winter in Tokyo so imagine the scuffle packing winter clothing haha) I was in Brisbane and Melbourne for the whole month. You know what they say about last minute events, they’re the best π
Shall end this post with one of my personal favorites. I love the photograph I’ve taken during sunset on the way back from Byron Bay π
Much love π xx
